Role Overview:
- Serve as a consultant attending physician providing specialized gender-affirming healthcare services.
- Work remotely for 15-20 hours per month, offering expertise on challenging cases to support advanced practice clinicians.
Key Responsibilities:
- Be available at scheduled times for remote consultations with APCs, assisting in treatment modifications.
- Monitor patient progress, maintain accurate electronic records, and determine if patient transfers are needed.
- Adhere to organizational policies, protocols, and ethical standards in healthcare delivery.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Hold a medical degree (MD/DO) and a valid New Jersey medical license with board certification or eligibility in a relevant specialty.
- Possess proven experience (2-3 years) in providing gender-affirming health therapy to transgender and gender non-conforming communities.
- Demonstrate knowledge of current transgender health standards, excellent communication skills, and comfort with telehealth platforms like TEAMS and ZOOM.
