Government Relations Director

The Government Relations Director reports to the VP, Government Relations to support a Navitus entity in a defined geographic territory with relation to support compliance and business objectives. The role will partner with internal business entities to understand the intersection of the business functions and goals with the current and future legislative and regulatory environment. The role will be part of a team comprised of analysts and legal counsel.

The responsibilities include developing relationships with legislators and regulators, educating government officials, reviewing and monitoring state legislation, coordinating with internal business units, and drafting comment letters and testimony. The role also involves troubleshooting legislative and regulatory issues, liaising with regulators, and serving in board or advisory positions. Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree, 5 years’ experience in Government Relations, and knowledge of Excel, MS Word, Outlook, and SharePoint.
