About the Role:

  • Work with the Criminal Law Reform Project at the ACLU's national office in New York City or Washington, D.C.
  • This is a part-time, unpaid internship for course credit only, open to current law students.

Your Day to Day:

  • Support litigation work and integrated advocacy across priority areas.
  • Conduct legal research, legal writing (memos, court submissions), and fact investigation.
  • Assist in preparation for depositions, oral arguments, hearings, or trial.

What You'll Bring:

  • Enrollment at a U.S. law school with at least one year completed before the internship.
  • Excellent research, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Commitment to civil liberties, civil rights, and racial justice.
