Engineering Manager II - Platform Backend

About the Role:

• Lead engineering for the Platform Services team building shared infrastructure and core services.
• Stay hands-on with architecture, code, and systems while owning team outcomes and platform reliability.

What You'll Do:

• Own roadmap planning, estimation, and predictable delivery while balancing tech debt, new capabilities, and stability.
• Drive cost optimization and establish strong observability and incident management practices.
• Hire, mentor, and grow engineers and set technical standards for the team.

What We're Looking For:

• 10+ years of software engineering experience including 2+ years as a manager, with expertise in Go, Python, or Node.js.
• Deep practical experience with GCP/AWS and distributed systems architecture at scale.
• A data-driven approach to prioritization, performance reporting, and cross-functional collaboration.
