Job Description
This person will manage a short- and long-term strategy to grow the Foundation’s fundraising program across the Midwest, reporting to the Senior Director of Development. The main purpose is to cultivate, solicit, and steward six- to seven-figure gifts from individual philanthropists and collaborate with executive leaders to cultivate and close high-level prospects. Core responsibilities include development planning, portfolio strategy and management, donor relations, volunteer management, and philanthropic relations.
Operating effectively, the role requires enhancement of the data-driven culture, use of Salesforce to track metrics, and collaboration with the Development Events team to host donor events. The key deliverables are meeting fundraising goals, managing the portfolio strategy, providing stewardship, and executing events seamlessly. Required skills encompass an understanding of philanthropy, moves management, and gift closure. Requires managing high-capacity boards and securing gifts directly, with a track record of closing gifts of at least $1M+.
