Role Overview:
- Lead public sector sales for a climate tech company focused on wildfire detection, driving revenue with government agencies at federal, state, and local levels.
- Develop strategies to navigate complex public sector sales cycles and contract with entities like BLM, USFS, and state departments.
- Partner with internal teams including Government Affairs, Sales, Marketing, and Operations to execute GTM plans and ensure customer success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and scale the public sector sales organization, managing full-cycle sales from prospecting to closing contracts.
- Leverage government contracting expertise to structure deals and ensure swift execution during critical pre-fire season windows.
- Manage senior-level customer relationships and collaborate with Customer Success to drive satisfaction and expansion opportunities.
Qualifications and Expectations:
- Bring 10+ years of public sector and technology sales experience, with 5+ years in sales leadership focused on scaling organizations.
- Demonstrate strategic thinking for aligning GTM strategies to different public sector segments and navigating multi-stakeholder sales cycles.
- Exhibit excellent communication skills, a competitive drive, and a willingness to travel at least 25% of the time.
