Virtual Care Nurse

Job Summary:

• The Virtual Nurse will develop the plan of care and provide comprehensive oversight of the patient remotely on an acute care, medical-surgical unit.
• This role operates from a Virtual Command Center (VCC) to anticipate and direct patient care through health promotion and clinical decision making.
• The nurse is accountable for client care outcomes by applying evidence-based practice to design and evaluate care plans.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and evaluate client care by coordinating and supervising the unit-based health care team.
• Demonstrate professional competence in the roles of clinician, educator, consultant/collaborator, and leader.
• Support the St. Luke's Health Memorial Lufkin facility with 0-25% travel required.

Requirements:

• Minimum of a BSN degree (or actively pursuing) and licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas.
• Requires three years of RN experience in an acute care facility and three years of nursing preceptor experience.
• Must have two years in a nursing leadership role and hold American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications.
