About the role:
- Own AI features end to end, from prototype to production.
- Build APIs, tool-using agents, and RAG pipelines for grant discovery and drafting.
- High-ownership seat on a small team with fast customer impact.
What you'll do:
- Ship AI to production with LLM agents, resilient services, and evaluation.
- Build trustworthy backends with Python, SQL, and data pipelines.
- Partner across teams to scope, experiment, and raise engineering standards.
What we're looking for:
- 7+ years shipping production backend systems in Python.
- Hands-on LLM features: tool calling, multi-step agents, evals.
- Strong data fundamentals and startup mindset.
