The Position:
- This role focuses on defending property owners, landlords, and property management companies in habitability, wrongful eviction, and premises liability litigation.
- You will manage cases from inception to resolution, with level of independence based on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, and other legal documents.
- Handle court appearances, depositions, mediations, and other litigation events.
- Develop case strategy, communicate with clients, carriers, and experts, and collaborate with attorneys across offices.
Qualifications:
- JD from an ABA-accredited law school and admitted to practice in California.
- 5+ years of litigation experience required; habitability, landlord-tenant, or premises liability experience strongly preferred.
- Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills with ability to manage competing deadlines.
