RN CDE Team Lead

Virta is looking for an experienced leader to help build and manage a new Team of RN CDE's as a player-coach. The key requirements of the role are holding an active RN license in a Nursing Compact state and demonstrating experience as a manager, helping direct reports improve their skills and develop their careers. Responsibilities include building and managing a team of 10-15 part-time nurses, including QA/QI, supervision, scheduling, and licensure management. The role involves spending approximately half the time seeing patients and half the time managing the team. Clinical intake visits with prospective patients will be conducted via video and/or phone, including verifying clinical history, medications, answering basic questions about Virta treatment, and identifying concerning history or labs for provider review. Management activities include daily schedule hygiene for the nursing team, monitoring and assigning provider support requests, providing updates to clinical intake workflow, delivering just-in-time feedback, conducting weekly POD meetings with the team, and working with clinical leads on quality initiatives.
