Overview:
- Monitors compliance with clinical documentation to support coding and billing regulations.
- 100% remote role with weekend coverage and a focus on transforming healthcare.
Responsibilities:
- Reviews DRG assignments and quality indicators for Medicare/Medicaid inpatients.
- Analyzes physician documentation for coding accuracy and queries physicians when needed.
- Provides guidance and education to inpatient coders and CDI specialists.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree or equivalent and 5+ years inpatient coding experience.
- Certified Coding Specialist and 2+ years quality audit experience.
- Strong knowledge of ICD-10, DRG, and data reporting.
