WHAT IMPACT WE'RE LOOKING FOR YOU TO MAKE:
- Lead the design and delivery of platform services and libraries that teams across Jane adopt and rely on, balancing transformational work with new capability building.
- Drive improvements to the main Rails monolith - upgrading dependencies, improving architecture, and raising code quality standards so teams can move with confidence.
- Partner with feature teams to understand their needs, propose scalable solutions, and mentor them through implementation, removing blockers along the way.
WHAT EXPERIENCE WE NEED:
- 8+ years of professional full-stack software development experience, with demonstrated expertise in backend systems.
- Proven ability to lead the design and delivery of medium to complex technical projects independently, with strong architectural thinking.
- Strong communication skills: you can explain complex technical decisions to peers, write clear documentation, and collaborate effectively across teams to unblock work and align on direction.
