Engineering Manager, Purchasing

Manage a team of 6–8 software engineers, coaching for technical excellence, fostering individual career growth, and nurturing a culture of trust and deep collaboration. Lead the team to deliver consistently against ambitious goals by defining success metrics, tracking progress transparently, and communicating proactively with stakeholders. Own the technical direction for the Purchasing team, ensuring designs are scalable and secure. Balance the repayment of technical debt with new feature development. Guide efforts to evolve the Python/Django monolith towards a more modular architecture. Partner closely with the Product Manager and Designer to deeply understand customer needs and drive success. Mentor engineers and team leads, supporting the growth of future engineering leaders. Collaborate with partners across the organization—including Security, Platform, and Data teams—to deliver robust, compliant software solutions.
