Staff Software Engineer - Event Sourcing/Stream Processing - Kafka

Your Opportunity:

• Build the Agentic Backbone: Architect and implement the backend services that power multi-agent workflows.
• Orchestration & Workflow Automation: Design scalable workflow engines and "human-in-the-loop" systems.
• Bridge AI & Enterprise Infrastructure: Create the integration layer between modern Python-based AI frameworks and Tenable’s robust JVM-based microservices architecture.

What You’ll Need:

• 7+ years of software engineering experience, with a strong background in building backend systems, APIs, and platforms.
• Hands-on experience building AI agents and autonomous workflows using frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, AutoGen, CrewAI, or Pydantic AI.
• Strong programming skills in Python (essential for AI/ML ecosystems) with experience in, or a willingness to work with, JVM-based languages (Java, Kotlin, or Scala) for high-scale platform components.

And Ideally:

• Experience designing frameworks to evaluate agent performance (accuracy, latency, cost) and implementing CI/CD for AI workflows.
• Experience deploying and scaling services in AWS using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with Knowledge Graphs or advanced search algorithms to improve agent reasoning.
