Finance and Accounting Analyst 2

This Finance and Accounting Analyst position reports to a Financial Manager within the Finance Operations group of OHSU Finance. The purpose of the position is to provide professional accounting and financial services such as analysis of financial records and reports, performance comparisons, preparation of forecasts and trends, variance analysis, budgeting/planning, cost analysis, compliance, data queries, and financial transactions/reports. These duties will be performed with higher level decision making, less supervision, and a wider scope of responsibility with a strong emphasis on problem solving and analytical activities. The analyst will perform monthly data entry and variance analysis to budget, prepare annual budgets, and review/analyze financial data sets. They will also submit invoices, prepare journal entries and liquidations of debts, and assist programs in building proformas. The role will require using GAAP, running ad hoc queries to analyze financial data, and ensuring compliance with OHSU policies, as well as external policies. Additionally, the analyst will develop policies and procedures, provide recommendations for improvements, and propose necessary changes/problem solve.
