Senior Software Engineer, MediaWiki Content Platform Team

Role and Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver improvements to large-scale wikitext processing infrastructure, balancing user experience, performance, backwards compatibility, and maintainability.
• Own complex technical projects from problem definition through architecture, implementation, testing, and production delivery.
• Develop and maintain PHP and JavaScript software supporting content experiences across hundreds of languages.

Collaboration and Impact:

• Collaborate closely with engineers, product managers, designers, client teams, and community members to iterate on features and resolve technical challenges.
• Mentor other engineers through technical discussions, code reviews, documentation, and direct guidance, helping raise technical quality.
• Contribute to strong engineering practices through unit and integration testing, code reviews, security improvements, and documentation.
