The Role:
- Code Metal's AI Platform team builds foundations for AI-driven code transpilation, modernization, optimization, and simulation.
- As Staff AI Platform Engineer, you'll be a technical lead architecting the AI enablement stack.
Core Responsibilities:
- Set technical direction and architecture for the AI platform and team.
- Deploy, benchmark, and tune elastic production inference for open-weight models.
- Own model gateway, agent harnesses, context engineering, and observability.
Required Qualifications:
- Production-grade Python and strong platform engineering fundamentals.
- Shipped production agentic systems and experience with context engineering.
- Staff-level technical leadership across systems and teams.
