Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain UI systems and features for gameplay, menus, HUDs, inventories, progression, and social experiences.
  • Collaborate closely with UI/UX, design, art, and engineering to translate interface goals into reliable technical implementation.
  • Debug, optimize, and improve UI systems for performance, usability, and stability while supporting data-driven UI workflows.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of professional game development experience with experience building UI systems or player-facing features in shipped games.
  • Proficiency in C++ and strong understanding of UI architecture, usability, and systems design principles.
  • Experience building maintainable, scalable, and performant UI code with strong debugging, profiling, and problem-solving skills.

Preferences:

  • Experience building UI for RPGs, ARPGs, or other systems-heavy games.
  • Familiarity with shader and material math and best practices as it relates to UI graphics, as well as modern game engines and UI implementation workflows.
