Responsibilities:

  • Review and verify new and refill prescriptions for therapeutic appropriateness.
  • Perform daily drug utilization review and manage specialty medication handling.
  • Supervise pharmacy technicians and ensure compliance with regulations.

Patient Care:

  • Provide outbound counseling calls to patients, addressing drug education and adherence.
  • Handle inbound clinical calls and document interactions thoroughly.
  • Support Spanish-speaking patients where applicable.

Collaboration and Quality:

  • Contact prescriber offices to clarify prescriptions and partner on alternatives.
  • Participate in quality assurance activities and report adverse events.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive improvements.

Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an ACPE-accredited college.
  • Active Missouri Pharmacy License in good standing.
  • Ability to obtain licensure in 3 additional states within 9 months.
