Responsibilities:
- Review and verify new and refill prescriptions for therapeutic appropriateness.
- Perform daily drug utilization review and manage specialty medication handling.
- Supervise pharmacy technicians and ensure compliance with regulations.
Patient Care:
- Provide outbound counseling calls to patients, addressing drug education and adherence.
- Handle inbound clinical calls and document interactions thoroughly.
- Support Spanish-speaking patients where applicable.
Collaboration and Quality:
- Contact prescriber offices to clarify prescriptions and partner on alternatives.
- Participate in quality assurance activities and report adverse events.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive improvements.
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an ACPE-accredited college.
- Active Missouri Pharmacy License in good standing.
- Ability to obtain licensure in 3 additional states within 9 months.
