Job Description
As the Senior Software Engineer, Developer Productivity, you will be working closely with your engineering peers and leadership to uplift the productivity and effectiveness of how software is built within the Deputy organisation, knowing that the work you do enables millions of users worldwide. You have a knack for removing toil, optimising for people's time and maximising the capability of your peers. You’re able to provide the tooling and capabilities across all teams to provide them with the information they need to better understand how their work contributes to all aspects of the Deputy platform, and how they can look to improve. You have high agency, able to find opportunities where most time is spent and optimising for your peer’s happiness. Pragmatic engineer who excels at combining software and systems engineering principles to build, improve and maintain the developer technology stack, catering to a large and diverse engineering team. Capable of working with multiple programming languages for multiple purposes. Must have a strong grasp of security and risk management to ensure a safe and secure development environment and strong understanding and exposure to cloud environments, primarily AWS.
