Engineering Manager for Postgres

Team Leadership:

• Lead and grow a team of postgres engineers through mentorship, feedback, and technical guidance.
• Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Help the team break down complex problems into incremental milestones.

Execution and Collaboration:

• Drive execution on key product initiatives from ideation to launch, balancing speed with reliability.
• Partner closely with Product, Design, and Infra teams to translate customer needs into technical solutions.
• Engage deeply in technical discussions, guiding system design decisions and architectural tradeoffs.

Qualifications:

• 8+ years as an Engineer shipping products with downstream impact; experience with stateful services preferred.
• 2+ years of people management experience including hiring, mentorship, and performance management.
• Strong technical background in system design and engineering tradeoffs, with a product-oriented mindset.
