The Impact of a Sr Enterprise Architect:
- Owns the technical design and governance of Coupa's custom connector and MCP server portfolio.
- Sets architecture standards for agentic AI systems to reach systems securely and at scale.
- Provides hands-on technical leadership to the integration engineering team.
What You'll Do:
- Define reference architecture for MCP servers and custom connectors: transport, auth, schema/versioning, error semantics, observability.
- Design and review connector specifications for internal systems (Coupa, NetSuite, SAP, Workday, Salesforce) and external partner APIs.
- Establish security and governance patterns: OAuth2/OIDC, credential management, least-privilege scoping, audit logging.
What You Will Bring:
- 8+ years in software/integration engineering, including 3+ years in architect or tech lead role.
- Deep experience building API integrations at scale (REST, GraphQL, gRPC, webhooks, event streaming).
- Strong command of Python or TypeScript, and familiarity with LLM/agent frameworks.
