Software Engineer

Contribute as a developer and operator of the Event Streams product by building features, implementing system improvements, and informing the future of the product. Twilio's Event Streams team is looking for an inspired, humble, growth-oriented Software Engineer. As a backend engineer, you will develop Java services and support Kubernetes infrastructure to deliver Event Streams, a product that allows customers to consume a configurable unified stream of events that represent every interaction on Twilio. Design, implement, test rigorously and support microservices at scale in a collaborative environment. Advocate for and implement operational best practices and serve on-call for the team’s services. Demonstrate quickness in learning and interest in teaching others. Take part in sprint and quarterly planning ceremonies. Contribute to a highly collaborative team, sharing your ideas and requesting feedback. Communicate complex ideas simply through verbal and written communication.
