The Senior Accounting Associate will primarily focus on expense-related accounting functions and own critical workflows including vendor payments, procurement review, contract validation, and month-end close responsibilities. This role works closely with teams across Marketing, Legal, and Compliance, so strong collaboration and communication skills are essential. Youβll be instrumental in scaling our accounting operations to meet the demands of a growing, dynamic business.
Manage day-to-day accounting for expense-related accounts, including platforms such as Ramp and Zip. Review and validate vendor invoices, route them for proper approval, and ensure timely and accurate payment. Configure and optimize system approval workflows and reporting tools to improve efficiency. Partner closely with the Marketing team to review and interpret complex affiliate contracts. Serve as a primary point of contact for vendors regarding payments and issue resolution.
Lead core areas of the monthly close process, including accrued expenses, partner payments, credit and bank reconciliations, prepaid expenses, and accounts receivable. Prepare journal entries and ensure accurate departmental coding across Sage, Ramp, and Zip systems. Support broader finance initiatives, including budgeting, forecasting, and departmental reporting. Contribute to system and process enhancements related to multi-entity accounting and consolidations. Develop a working knowledge of tax reporting obligations such as 1099 filings, tax provisions, and income taxes. Collaborate with Legal and Compliance to identify and address any accounting-owned registration or filing requirements.
