Principal Engineer (L5)

About the job:

• Design anchor for data platforms processing hundreds of thousands of data points per second.
• Guide engineering through complex distributed design choices, ensuring reliability, performance, and cost-efficiency.
• Pioneer integration of AI into real-world data processing.

Responsibilities:

• Own the technical north star and deliver robust routing experiences for the Data platform and pipelines.
• Design always-available, fault-tolerant distributed systems in cloud environments.
• Lead through technical influence and articulate trade-offs between cost, performance, and reliability.

Qualifications:

• 12+ years of programming experience with expert-level Go or similar languages.
• Battle-tested experience with high-scale streaming systems and distributed processing engines.
• Demonstrated hands-on experience with GenAI/LLM solutions for engineering challenges.
