Principal Machine Learning Engineer

As a Principal Machine Learning Engineer, you are expected to:

• Drive development of cutting-edge machine learning algorithms and train sophisticated models.
• Collaborate with a variety of teams, engineering, product and analytics teams, to build AI Functionalities into each Atlassian product and service.
• Design system and model architectures and conduct rigorous experimentation and model evaluations.

You should have:

• Expertise in Python or Java and the ability to write performant production-quality code.
• Knowledge of Spark and cloud data environments (e.g. AWS, Databricks).
• Experience building and scaling machine learning models in business applications using large amounts of data.

The following skillset is a plus:

• Experience working in a consumer or B2C space for a SaaS product provider, or the enterprise/B2B space.
• Experience developing deep learning-based models and working on LLM-related applications.
• Excel in solving ambiguous and complex problems.
