Senior Accountant

The Senior Accountant will assist and report to the Manager of General Accounting, requiring a strong accounting foundation and the ability to independently prioritize and manage individual workload. Responsibilities include reviewing automatic recurring journal entries and rent voucher entries, maintaining the lease accounting system, reconciling to the general ledger, and reviewing all appropriate month-end accrual entries. The role also maintains account analysis, reconciles subsidiary detail, reviews departmentalization of the trial balance, maintains stock activity ledgers, reviews foreign currency exchange transactions, and coordinates annual personal property tax returns. Additional duties include processing monthly reports, posting automatic system-generated journal entries, preparing year-end audit schedules, and maintaining fixed asset records, including physical inventories. Researching GAAP is necessary to ensure company compliance.
