Trade Compliance Attorney

About the Role:

• We are seeking a Trade Compliance Attorney to provide support to a leading client with an urgent need for sophisticated U.S. customs counsel.
• In this role, you will independently manage complex customs matters, including advisory, investigations, enforcement, tariff, and trade-remedy work.

Responsibilities:

• Providing comprehensive legal advice on U.S. customs matters, including IEEPA, duty refunds, Foreign-Trade Zones, UFLPA, USMCA, and other issues.
• Managing customs investigations, enforcement matters, prior disclosures, internal risk assessments, and matters before CBP.
• Advising on tariff matters, including Section 232, and supporting trade remedies and AI export-control issues.

Qualifications:

• Substantial hands-on experience practicing U.S. customs law and independently managing complex customs matters.
• Juris Doctor degree or equivalent and licensed to practice law in an applicable jurisdiction.
• Preferred experience with trade-remedy matters, including AD/CVD and related appeals.
