Job Description

The Business Development Manager will play a key role in identifying, sourcing, and helping acquire early childhood education businesses (primarily preschools) across the United States. The ideal candidate will be an experienced dealmaker who thrives on relationship-building and has a proven track record of sourcing and closing small business acquisitions. This role combines strategy, financial acumen, and strong interpersonal skills, working closely with the Chief Development Officer and cross-functional teams to help us become the buyer of choice in the early childhood education sector. Essential Tasks: Deal Sourcing & Outreach: Proactively identify and cultivate relationships with preschool owners who may be interested in selling their businesses. Activate and maintain strong relationships with intermediaries/brokers. Relationship Management: Build trust and rapport with prospective sellers, acting as a consultative and empathetic point of contact throughout the transaction journey. Pipeling Management: Maintain and track a robust acquisition pipeline, using CRM tools to organize outreach, meetings, and follow-ups. Financial Analysis: Work with the Corporate Development and Finance teams to conduct/support preliminary financial assessments and support deal underwriting. Market Research: Identify target geographies and evaluate market dynamics, demographic trends, demand/supply variables, competitor activity, and acquisition opportunities. Collaboration: Partner with internal teams (Finance, Operations, Academics, HR, Marketing, Facilities, Legal) to support due diligence and deal execution. Representation: Attend industry events and conferences to promote Endeavor Schools as the acquirer of choice.
