Supervisor Coding

Under the supervision of the Coding Manager, the Coding Supervisor is accountable for the efficient and effective operation of their designated Coding and Data Entry teams. Responsibilities may include: Overseeing all functions of the assigned team related to professional coding and data entry. Supervising staff by assigning work accordingly to maximize productivity and ensure encounters are coded correctly. Responsible for writing procedures and job aids consistent with established Dignity Health Medical Foundation policies. Responsible for interviewing, hiring, and supervising training of employees per Dignity Health Medical Foundation standards. Meets with staff to ensure staff are meeting assigned goals. The coding supervisor must have in-depth knowledge of coding guidelines.
