Responsibilities:

  • Blocking out and building levels as well as heavy iterating on them.
  • Collaborating with the art department to ensure that the levels are of the highest visual quality while retaining gameplay and fun.
  • Full ownership - from the paper design, through the whitebox phase, scripting, iteration, debugging, optimization - until the game ships.

Qualifications:

  • Typically 5+ years of professional level design experience and at least one successful shipped AAA title on PC or console.
  • Experience in level design – both practice and theory (chokepoints, routes, lines of sight, engagement distances).
  • UE4 or 5  knowledge and Unreal Engine Editor full working proficiency.
