Responsibilities:
- Abstracts and codes physician services and diagnoses, assigns CPT and ICD9 codes, and completes coding worksheets.
- Ensures charge capture through reconciliations and provides documentation feedback to physicians, maintaining coding reference information.
- Trains physicians and staff on billing and coding guidelines, attends meetings, and communicates updates.

- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of coding rules and demonstrates exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Balances multiple priorities, uses effective judgment, and resolves challenging situations with strong verbal and written communication.
- Utilizes personal computers, Microsoft Office, and database software, maintaining confidentiality and attention to detail.
Qualifications and Additional Information:
- Requires RHIA, RHIT, CPC, or CCS certification with 0-2 years of relevant experience; a degree in Health Information Management is preferred.
