Software Engineer, Teacher Experience

Job Summary:

• Are you passionate about computer science, education, and AI? Help teachers in the U.S. and globally learn with and about AI.
• As a Software Engineer on the Teacher Experience team, you'll make the teaching experience faster, clearer, and more reliable.
• Work alongside product managers, designers, and curriculum writers using agentic AI tools while maintaining code quality.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Partner with cross-functional teams to develop end-to-end features that are accessible and engaging in real classrooms.
• Write and maintain production-ready code in JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Ruby on Rails, and SQL, with AWS services.
• Rapidly prototype AI-focused products, including evaluating generative AI models for safety and effectiveness.

Experience & Qualifications:

• 8+ years developing full-stack web applications with JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Ruby on Rails, and SQL.
• Hands-on experience using agentic AI tools to build software and continuously learning new workflows.
• Technical leadership experience, whether through architectural changes, setting direction, or mentoring teammates.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Expected salary range: $126,900 - $162,000 per year.
