Key Responsibilities:
- Lead development and ongoing maintenance of the MS Access front-end application, including forms, queries, and automation.
- Design and maintain the ODBC connectivity layer between MS Access and the cloud-hosted MariaDB/MySQL backend.
- Perform bulk data loads and updates to maintain accurate financial data across multi-year budget cycles.
Required Qualifications:
- 8+ years of hands-on MS Access development experience including VBA and O365 environment.
- Demonstrated expertise with MariaDB or MySQL, including query optimization and ODBC integration.
- Strong SQL skills for complex queries and reporting across large datasets.
Desired Qualifications:
- Prior experience supporting USDA FPAC BOB Financial Management Tool or similar federal financial database system.
- Knowledge of USDA IT security policies, FISMA, NIST SP 800-53.
- Familiarity with federal IT financial terminology and CPIC reporting.
