Financial Controller

As our first in-house finance hire, you’ll take ownership of our financial operations and lay the groundwork for scalable, strategic financial management. You’ll work closely with company leadership, partner with external accounting providers, and build systems and models that support budgeting, forecasting, and investor reporting. You will oversee day-to-day finance operations across multiple entities (Australia and the U.S.) in partnership with outsourced providers, lead the development of company-wide financial models, including dynamic forecasting and multi-year planning. Build and manage budgeting processes, including department-level planning and variance tracking. Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and board-level financial reporting. The role will implement scalable internal controls, policies, and systems to ensure compliance and financial hygiene. The role entails monitoring and managing cash flow, intercompany transactions, and capital planning. Collaborate cross-functionally to support hiring plans, vendor decisions, and budget alignment as well as support fundraising activities and investor reporting, including financial due diligence.
