Safely decommission old domain servers after migrating all remaining dependencies and services.
Coordinate with the client to determine the fate of unknown server records and ensure a clean handover.

Responsibilities:

Move DNS, management servers, database accounts, and service accounts off the legacy domain.
Rehearse full restore, clean up the old directory, and take a full backup before teardown.
Transfer special roles (FSMO) and demote the three domain servers one by one.

Qualifications:

Strong knowledge of Active Directory Domain Services including FSMO, replication, metadata cleanup, and forest restore.
Experience with DNS migration, conditional forwarders, Azure Private Endpoints, and Azure IaaS.
Working knowledge of AD CS, DFS/NTFS permissions, Entra Domain Services, and SQL Windows authentication.
