Strategic AI Lead

Role Responsibilities:

• Own the program end-to-end like a CEO, managing the P&L with accountability for quality, timelines, revenue, margin, and budget, while forecasting and surfacing risks early.
• Act as the single point of accountability across diverse stakeholders including client research and engineering teams, Snorkel's forward deployed engineers and researchers, and a distributed Expert Contributor Network.
• Design and scale the training data program by translating model needs into task definitions, quality rubrics, and evaluation criteria, and building the operational system from scratch.

Operational Execution:

• Develop and scale the Expert Contributor Network by defining contributor profiles, recruiting, and designing training and QA systems to ramp hundreds to thousands of contributors.
• Instrument each program with dashboards and KPIs, monitoring data to catch regressions and surface risks proactively, using data-driven decisions for forecasts and mitigations.
• Oversee data ingestion, transformation, and storage across systems using SQL, JSON, and Python to manage data flows, operating with urgency to match client pace without dropping quality.

Candidate Qualifications:

• Requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience plus 5+ years in a role owning outcomes end-to-end such as technical program management, founding/early-stage operations, management consulting, or technical product management.
• Must be analytical with hands-on comfort in SQL, JSON, and Python, possess ML intuition for training data quality and evaluation design, and have exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Bonus points for top-tier consulting or MBA background, founder/early-stage operator experience, expertise in data labeling or RLHF for frontier labs, and proficiency with data visualization tools and Agile methodologies.
