Role Overview:
- Design and build a next-generation reliability platform for Affirm’s production systems.
- Create AI agents that assist with incident triage, root-cause exploration, and log/trace summarization.
- Build developer-facing features and APIs to help engineers explore data and debug issues.
What You’ll Do:
- Build a centralized reliability command center giving teams a unified view of system health, risk, and reliability.
- Use AI-assisted development tools like Cursor or Claude to prototype, refactor, and ship high-quality code quickly.
- Own projects end-to-end: requirements, architecture, implementation, testing, and iteration based on feedback.
What We Look For:
- 1.5+ years of software engineering experience with strong proficiency in Python.
- Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development and enthusiasm for using it to ship faster.
- Problem-solving and product sense, capable of handling ambiguous requirements and iterating rapidly.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Base pay range (all other U.S. states): $146,000 - $206,000 per year; ranges for CA, WA, NY, NJ, CT: $165,000 - $225,000.
