Senior General Ledger Accountant

General Ledger & Close Process:

• Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial statements.
• Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations, while supporting inventory accounting and cost analysis.
• Maintain and improve close timelines and processes, analyzing standard versus actual costs.

Financial Reporting & Analysis:

• Prepare internal and external financial reports, performing variance analysis such as budget versus actual and prior period comparisons.
• Ensure compliance with internal control requirements and maintain documentation for audits.
• Support regulatory cost tracking and identify opportunities for process improvements in accounting workflows.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field with a CPA preferred and 5+ years of accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and cost accounting principles, with experience in ERP systems like NetSuite and advanced Excel skills.
• Understanding of process manufacturing environments, standard costing, and inventory valuation, paired with strong analytical and communication skills.
