Engage with the developer community online and in person, offering expert guidance for building Web3 applications on Sui. Prioritize work streams based on impact and manage cross-functional teams.

This role demands a deep understanding of low-level systems programming, networking protocols, and hypervisor technologies. The ideal candidate will excel in working with compiled languages like Rust, C, and Go, with occasional work in PHP for system integration. This is a hands-on engineering position with an emphasis on performance optimization, automation, and systems-level problem-solving.

As our Senior Engineering Manager at Hiro, you’ll lead our Infrastructure (DevOps and API) teams to meet the technical, operational, and revenue-scale needs of our fast-growing developer platform. Reporting to the VP of Engineering, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping our engineering culture, streamlining processes, and delivering mission-critical initiatives. You’ll be key to hiring, mentoring, and retaining top talent.

Architect and scale the systems that support billions in venture assets and redefine how founders and investors connect. Implement modern CI/CD pipelines, container orchestration, and automation that enable rapid iteration across all engineering teams. Design resilient, secure, and observable systems using Terraform, Pulumi, ArgoCD, and modern SRE practices.

As a member of the Compute Reliability and Efficiency team, you’ll be solving some of the world’s largest at-scale infrastructure problems using software we create along with integrating services from the cloud native ecosystem. Your work will directly impact hundreds of millions of users around the world. You will work collaboratively with a team of software engineers to create and maintain the foundational platform for running Reddit’s infrastructure. You will also design, write (Golang), and deliver software to improve the availability, scalability, latency, and efficiency of Reddit’s Compute Platform.

As an engineer, you will drive the mitigation and resolution of incidents, and improve toilsome availability-related processes. You will identify opportunities for improvement, communicate incident status clearly to customers, and embed directly with service teams. This role requires communicating internally with many engineers globally and responding to Slack messages.
