This is a remote role for someone located in the Pacific or Mountain timezones in the US, someone who will collaborate closely with the Engineering team distributed along the east coast of Australia.

As an Industrial Solution Architect, you will design and implement scalable, data-driven solutions using Rockwell and partner technology, including Cognite Data Fusion (CDF), FactoryTalk Data Mosaix, and FactoryTalk Optix, collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate complex industrial challenges into digital solutions to drive digital transformation.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing business problems to implement and improve computer systems. You will analyze user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate or enhance existing systems and review computer system capabilities, workflow, and scheduling limitations. You may also analyze or recommend commercially available software.

Design and implement algorithms that dynamically allocate vehicles to meet time-varying passenger demand. Formulate and solve optimization problems (e.g., MILP, QP, network flow) for vehicle routing, rebalancing, and resource allocation. Develop heuristics or approximations for real-time decision-making when full optimization isn’t tractable.

This role involves growing and leading a team of engineers dedicated to adapting products to automotive and industrial requirements. Represent Canonical and Ubuntu in the industrial and automotive community and standards consortia. Ensure products support standards for processes, cyber-security, and safety concerns. Enhance delivery quality, security, and developer experience, influencing culture and strategy. Report to the Vice President of Engineering Excellence and collaborate with the Automotive Product Manager.

As a Field Application Engineer, you'll be the technical point of contact for customers in Southern Europe, helping them evaluate, adopt, and deploy our Metis AI Platform across a range of applications. Working closely with our R&D teams, you’ll guide customers through hands-on integration using our Voyager SDK, supporting the deployment of AI models and pipelines on Axelera AI hardware.
