VP, Platform Engineering

Strategic platform leadership:

• Bring a strategic lens to identify where teams lose time and turn leverage points into a prioritized roadmap.
• Make technical calls that reduce friction and let product teams ship faster at higher quality.
• Surface platform-level vulnerabilities and close them before they become incidents.

What you'll own:

• Developer platform and internal tooling that lowers cognitive load for stream-aligned teams.
• AI platform including model gateway, eval infrastructure, agent frameworks, LLM observability, and safety controls.
• Infrastructure, cloud, and DevOps ensuring reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency.

What success looks like:

• Measure developer experience and act on what the numbers tell you.
• AI tooling reaches everyday use across teams, saving time.
• Tech debt stays under control with a deliberate strategy.

Your responsibilities:

• Lead platform or infrastructure engineering at scale, with 12+ years in engineering and 5+ years leading leaders.
• Build or mature an internal developer platform adopted by choice.
• Reason about AI and LLM platform needs like gateways, evals, observability, and safety tooling.
