Principal AI Engineer

Job Overview:

• This is a senior individual-contributor and technical-leadership role on the AI and Platform team.
• The role is aligned to the organization, setting technical direction across multiple services and teams.
• You will operate as a technical advisor and embedded resource, writing production code daily.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Define the AI platform patterns that other teams build on, including agent orchestration and governance hooks.
• Own reliability, testing, CI/CD, and operational standards across teams.
• Provide technical leadership, influence staffing and roadmap priorities, and mentor engineers.

Requirements & Skills:

• Principal-level hands-on experience as a technical leader with deep expertise in Python and backend service development.
• Expertise in cloud platform engineering (AWS preferred), GenAI/LLM applications, and agent tooling.
• Strong skills in data persistence, application security, automated testing, and modern developer tooling.
