About the Role:
- We're looking for Ethos' first Principal Design Systems Designer to build the foundations for a coherent design-to-code pipeline.
- This is a true 0→1 opportunity to build an AI-native design system from scratch.
Responsibilities:
- Audit current product UI, define token strategy, and own component lifecycle end-to-end.
- Partner with Front-End engineers to ship accessible, reusable components with clear APIs.
- Shape the pipeline that turns Figma frames or prompts into Storybook-validated components with human checkpoints.
Qualifications:
- Deep experience owning a design system end-to-end at a product company.
- Strong knowledge of design-to-code integration, tokens, and accessibility standards.
- Hands-on experience with AI-assisted design tools and a pragmatic, iterative approach.
What We Offer:
- A competitive base salary range of $165,000–$292,000 plus bonus, equity, and benefits.
