Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain overall status of unit activities, identify problem areas, evaluate work performance, and take corrective actions.
  • Plan, assign, and review work of subordinates; supervise and train staff.
  • Analyze performance data and make recommendations for improvement.

Customer Service and Collaboration:

  • Monitor quality and timeliness of staff responsiveness to customers via phone, email, and correspondence.
  • Liaise with filing representatives, Registered Design Professionals, Licensed Master Plumbers, homeowners, utilities, and community organizations.
  • Collaborate on technical and operational issues with internal and external entities.

Administrative and Compliance Duties:

  • Work with Human Resources to identify, interview, hire, promote, transfer, or terminate staff.
  • Manage multiple projects/tasks simultaneously using Microsoft Office and Department programs.
  • Perform quality assurance review of compliance reports, non-compliance violation penalty waiver requests, and payment refund requests.

Additional Tasks:

  • Prepare information for FOIL requests and subpoenas.
  • Conduct gas piping system compliance research and ensure data integrity.
  • May participate in compliance process improvement initiatives and provide training to clerks.
