Accountabilities:
- Build and scale a comprehensive data governance program covering ownership, stewardship, quality, lineage, metadata, classification, access, and compliance.
- Define and own the data quality framework, including quality standards, thresholds, metrics, monitoring, and reporting.
- Establish named data owners and stewards, document governance decisions, and maintain the enterprise data dictionary.
Requirements:
- 7+ years of experience in data governance, data quality, or data management, with a proven track record of building programs from scratch.
- Strong knowledge of core governance disciplines and hands-on experience with tools like BigQuery, dbt, Unity Catalog, or Collibra.
- Ability to understand SQL, interpret data models, and collaborate effectively with engineering teams on governance architecture.
