Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively monitor core network systems, regional fiber optics, and hardware via centralized management tools.
- Identify and react to network alarms, create and update tickets in ITSM platforms.
- Execute triage procedures per SOP/MOP and serve as primary outage notification source.
Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of optical test equipment (OTDR, ONT) and Layer 1/2/3 protocols (DWDM, MPLS, BGP).
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask under pressure.
- Experience with network monitoring systems and ITSM platforms; ability to read GIS maps and engineering drawings.
Work Environment:
- Fully remote position based in the US with rotating shifts including weekends and overnight.
- Must thrive in a 24x7 operations environment and handle high-pressure scenarios professionally.
