Job Description

Reporting to the International Policy Director, the Senior Manager, International Engagements is responsible for developing and implementing a targeted and focused strategy to achieve our transparency goals in multilateral fora and through collaborative partnerships. This involves building momentum for transparency as an ocean governance principle across events and through partnerships, and securing policy changes within regional fisheries management bodies (RFBs). The role requires close collaboration with the International Policy team, Regional Leads and Country Officers within Global Fishing Watch and numerous external government and non-government stakeholders from a variety of nationalities and cultural backgrounds. The ideal candidate should be an expert in international policy, fostering relationships with governments and organizations, organizing programs during international conferences, and understanding international and regional governance policy-making, including RFB processes.
