Optical Billing Associate

Responsibilities:

• Utilize billing systems such as Nextgen, Waystar, and Clearwave to process insurance claims and work denials.
• Communicate with insurance companies to resolve denials and ensure appropriate payment for services.
• Collaborate with billing leads and team members to identify error trends and address root causes of denials.

Qualifications:

• Possess a positive attitude and willingness to learn, with basic computer skills and experience in Excel, Word, and Teams.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent is required, with preferred experience in medical billing, particularly Ophthalmology.
• Maintain key performance indicators for aged accounts receivable by working denied claims in a timely manner.
