About the Role:

  • We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to build the Kafka service on StreamNative Cloud.
  • You will work on distributed systems problems including streaming infrastructure and scalability.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and maintain core components of the streaming platform including Kafka-compatible APIs and storage.
  • Solve complex engineering problems and debug production issues in large-scale environments.
  • Collaborate with customers and contribute to open-source projects.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years building large-scale distributed systems or cloud services.
  • Strong understanding of Apache Kafka, Pulsar, or other messaging systems.
  • Experience with Kafka internals, cloud-native streaming, and programming in Java or Scala.

Nice To Have's:

  • Experience with lakehouse technologies like Apache Iceberg or Parquet.
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes and cloud-native infrastructure.
